Dancer, Actor, Singer
Prior to becoming a physicist, I performed on Broadway as a professional dancer, actor, and singer. In two years, I performed on Broadway, toured with a Broadway company, acted on TV, originated a role, and performed in a principle role at the MUNY.
Biography
I began my training at Menlo Park Academy of Dance and Bay Area Dance School in California. To expand my dance education, I attended a variety of summer programs including Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The School at Jacob’s Pillow (Musical Theater), The Juilliard School, Boston Conservatory, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and American Ballet Theater.
Throughout my training, I won numerous awards including the title of Miss Dance of America 2015, Youth America Grand Prix 3rd Place Classical Variation, and Performer of the Year at Encore National Convention. I was also honored to receive the Beach Blanket Babylon Scholarship for the Arts in 2015.
While at Stanford University, I was a part of Cardinal Ballet Company, Innovative Styles, and Alliance Dance. Additionally, I performed in numerous Ram's Head Theatrical Society musicals and served on the Ram’s Head board of directors. I was honored to receive the Stanford Department of Theater & Performance Studies Award for Contribution to Dance.

In the fall of 2017, instead of returning to Stanford for my junior year, I made my Broadway debut in M. Butterfly written by David Henry Hwang, directed by Julie Taymor, choreographed by Ma Cong, and staring Clive Owen. Not only was my first professional contract also my Broadway debut, but also I got to make my mark on a piece of theater that truly resonates with my identity.
I went on to perform in the Broadway lab production of Other World in the role of Tiger Strike. My regional theater credits include Pioneer Theater Company’s production of Mamma Mia directed by Patti Wilcox and the MUNY’s Jerome Robbin’s Broadway directed by Cynthia Onrubia. In 2017, I also made my television debut as a co-star on The Americans Ep. 605.
I was honored to be on the first national tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as a member of the ensemble understudying Veruca Salt. As a peripatetic soul, the ability to travel across the United States and perform for hundreds of audiences was a dream come true.
But all good things must come to an end, so I hung up my character heels and pointe shoes to complete my undergraduate degree at Stanford and reignite my passion for physics in 2019.
